Led by Clark Echols
Swedenborgian Teacher & Pastor

Clark is able to engage and challenge participants in the workshops he leads. While offering valuable insights, he facilitates self discovery. His notion of spirituality and how to partner with God is grounded in ancient wisdom and yet fresh.

A participant says:
“After doing the course I feel like my spiritual life is waking up.”

The New Church (Church of the New Jerusalem) is based on the Bible, and on the teachings of the 18th Century Scientist and Theologian, Emanuel Swedenborg. Swedenborg's mission was to bring Christianity into a new era of spiritual understanding.

Religion can and does make sense!

In Swedenborg's 35 volumes of theology, which we call the "Writings", what is set forth is the Lord Jesus Christ's plan for a rebirth of Christianity and a fulfillment of His Second Coming. It is not a coming in person, but in a new and clear understanding of who He is, and how He is present in our lives.

What is written in Swedenborg's books can help deepen and clarify your understanding of almost every aspect of human life. He writes about so many things. To list just a few:

  • The importance of work and usefulness both in this world and the next.
  • Why it is that marriage is so sacred? How you can find true love, a love that will last to eternity?
  • How we should live if we want to go to heaven?
  • Why does the Bible seem to have contradictions?
  • Why, if He governs this world, does He allow so many tragedies to occur?
  • What is it like to die? As students of the near-death experience (NDE) know, Swedenborg wrote in great detail about the process of death, and of awakening in another world.
  • What is the spiritual world like? What are angels like? Swedenborg was allowed to see into that world for many years, and his experiences of heaven, hell, and of the area in between, are fully described.
  • And much, much more . . .
